Putra LRT a convenience? My Foot!

I used to think that the Putra LRT was a big convenience and it sure beats driving to the city.
No need to jam and find car park etc etc.

Putra LRT Mad Jam
But lately, the LRT has been jam-packed especially going to work in the morning. I had to let 4 trains pass because it was just too full of people. Finally had no choice but to jam myself into a sardined packed train because I was late for work already.

Another I really hate is how everybody pushes in the train before I can even get out.

Sardines!

I hate to say it but some Malaysians are just plain brainless and uncivic-minded!!

O yea....I can vouch for that!! I still remember the bus conductor screaming, "Masuk lagi, masuk lagi!! Lagi...lagi..belakang lagi!!!!" at the top of his lungs during my secondary school day. Talk about early exposure.

Busses!! Don't get me started about busses in KL. They are worse than the LRT. Especially Metro busses from Klang Bus stand. They just 'masuk lagi' until you are pressing against 3 or 4 people at the same time. Very unpleasant.

damn straight... it is getting worst day by day... IF and ONLY IF, the freaking commuter can be more civilized... thing can be a bit better..

Because of the convenience, that is why there are so many people. I think the worst part of riding the LRT is when you're leaving work cause everyone has some BO to spread into the LRT. Not to forget when it rains, "oh the terror!"

As for squashing as many people inside, everyone wants to get home. Everyone wants to catch the bus. Everyone wants to be there the soonest. Selfishness to them is way better than having a comfortable ride. Guess the LRT planners never did think of the scenario like this. :P

Cheers.

But that's nothing to what I saw in a documentary about the trains in Japan. They even have security guards to squeeze people in even though the train will come once every one minute. I'm happy with the LRT that we have.

The pictures depict what i have to go through every single morning... *sigh*
And they will push like mad the moment the automatic door opens. :-/

The LRT seems to shudder, stop in the middle of tracks and doors unable to open quite frequently these days.
This was experienced by me on the 6/6/05 around 7 a.m while on my way to work. Finally I had to take a taxi to work due to such frigntening experiences.
It is very depressing to see the amount of people packed into the coaches as well as facing such delima of unsafe practices.
Is periodic maintenance being carried out by qualified personnel as this problem of malfunctions seems to occur quite frequently.
Some assurance have to be given to passengers as it can be daunting as the train is stationary in between stations. Sometimes I wonder what will happen should another on- coming train happens to come along on the opposite direction.
Disasters have been experienced in various countries inspite of all safety measures in place.
