Visit Malaysia 2007
I am sure most Malaysians know it's Visit Malaysia 2007 year and it coincides with our 50th year of independance.
Not to put down the government efforts but as a typical Malaysian I do not 'feel' much has been done to promote the event. Sure we see the posters everywhere. But is that it?
I'm sure lots of money is being poured into the campaign but I just don't see the net effect after a month into 2007.
Probably it's just me.
I'm just not seeing the extra hundreds or thousands of additional tourists that has been attracted here by our tourism efforts.
Still, the year is just beginning. There's still time for tourism to pick up.

No more P2P Streamyx users!
Let’s think of Streamyx connection similar to that of a shared water pipe.
TM Net estimates that around 12% users consume about 80% of the total available bandwidth.Streamyx’s current policy does not limit the amount of data they download.from TmNet'sHowever it would seem that judging from comments from fellow Malaysian surfers, bit torrent downloads have been reduced to almost zero from Streamyx server side. They do not limit the amount of data you download but the can sure reduced the water from the pipe down to a trickle..

I hate the LRT!
My first post for 2007 is another rant on our public transport.
Look at the beautiful line of people waiting to squish themselves in the tin can of a transportation medium they call the Light Rapid Transit System.
The following scene is typical on a Monday 8.30 am at Sentral Station.
